Fellow Rotarians, Corporate Representatives and Community Partners,
In accordance with evolving CDC and State recommendations regarding the size of gatherings and the duration of this COVID-19 pandemic, the Rotary Club of Manchester is postponing the date of its 80th Anniversary dinner celebration at the Manchester Community College scheduled for April 21 until a time when restrictions are lifted.
Furthermore, I am cancelling the planned Rotathlon scheduled for April 28, as all such "gym" facilities are closed. Potentially, we could resume our on site meetings at the Manchester Country Club starting on that date, 4/28. However, I will update that possibility as events unfold.
The Holes 4 Hope golf event, scheduled for June 3, will be rescheduled for Monday, September 14. The organizational committee schedule will be adjusted accordingly.
It should be apparent that all our "fund raising" events scheduled for this fiscal year have been put on hold until we are again able to safely congregate. The unfortunate consequence of this is that we will need to postpone decisions about charitable donations and funding until then.
It is important, that while we care for our personal health and safety and that of our loved ones, we are mindful of the enormous impact this crisis is having on our neighbors and community. Let's stay connected, thoughtful and helpful, as Rotarians are known to do. Check in to make sure others don't feel isolated. Offer help, where and when needed, while staying within safety guidelines. Maintaining this focus will better help us cope with this disruption.
Best regards,
Bob Rodner
